Anika and some friends have been busy busy, fermenting lots of foods recently. She's been so kind to share some photos and a recipe for 'SAUERKRAUT’ this month! Lots of delicious recipes are linked to as well! Canning food is an old school way of storing food that has made a comeback in recent years. If you are interested in teaching the Alfalfa Community this or any other skill we'd love to hear from you!

Many members have purchsaed and used the Naturally Clean detergents and soaps for years. John, who makes it all by hand, and then sends it down to us, has shared his story with us this month. John is a really great guy, and fun to talk with. In the coming months we'll have him in the shop to talk about natural cleaning products and why they are so important. Keep an eye out for it on the EVENTS CALENDAR for more. In the meantime Check out John's STORY and get to know one of OUR producers a little better!

Coconut oil is back in stock (finally!) A new supplier means a different story, and we are happy share it it with you HERE. Find out what else is new, back and out in Monika's IN THE BINS!.

St John’s Wort (Hypericum perforatum) is one of many species of the Hypericaceae family. Although ‘St John’s Wort’ may refer to any of the species of this family, H. perforatum is often called Common St John’s Wort, Klamuth Weed or Goatweed to differentiate it. Approximately 370 species of the genus Hypericum exist worldwide with a native geographical distribution including temperate and subtropical regions. For August our expert Naturopath, Elaine Parry, takes us through her DETAILED ST JOHN'S WORT GUIDE, including its anti-anxiety and anti-depressive qualities.

Come learn how to make herbal tea infusions with Jenn, on Wednesday the 7th at 7:30 at the CO-OP!
