FEBRUARY 2011
Dear Alfalfans,
Welcome to the New Year, 2011! For the first few editions of 2011 we will be sticking with our new trial newsletter to give it a good run so please keep those comments or issues coming via our CONTACT FORM. For those that missed the December edition, this
trial is based on a web version of our newsletter instead of an attached .pdf document. Instead of downloading an attachment, this method relies on you clicking through to the articles of interest on our website. Hopefully you have received our first eNews of 2011 without problems and will enjoy our latest news.

With holiday dates behind us the Coop is well and truly back into the swing of daily routines. Pre-paid and bulk orders are back to normal and most regular deliveries have now returned. Thank you to all for your cooperation through these summer changes.
At the first Management Committee meeting of the year, Alfalfa awarded its monthly FOOD GRANT to the ANARCHIST SUMMER SCHOOL to be held over the weekend of 18th-20th February.

During January and February the Coop will have UNSW student Matshepo Molala working with us to conduct an environmental audit and report as part of her study program. We welcome Matshepo and hope to be able to use the findings of her report to improve the Coop even more.
Our members may have already seen the "sold" sign above Alfalfa's home. We can confirm that yes the building has been sold but for the time being Alfalfa still hopes to be able to negotiate a new lease with the new owner upon settlement. We will keep you well informed if there is any news.
